What we do with your data.
Last updated: May 2026
The short version
We built Valentiq because hiring deserves better evidence, not more surveillance. We collect the smallest amount of data we can get away with, we tell you exactly what it is, and we delete it when you ask. No keystroke logging, no webcam recording, no biometric anything.
Who we are
Valentiq is operated by Valentiq Ltd. If you ever want to reach a real person about your data, email team@valentiq.co and a human will reply.
What we collect
When a candidate runs a sandbox, we store:
- The choices they make inside the simulation.
- How long they spent on each scenario.
- The role and team configuration the sandbox was generated for.
- An email address, but only if the candidate provides one.
When a hiring team uses Valentiq, we store the role definitions, calibration settings, and the resulting reports.
What we never collect
- Keystroke timing or mouse-tracking signals.
- Webcam or microphone recordings.
- Biometric data of any kind.
- Protected attributes such as race, religion, or health status.
Why we collect it
Sandbox responses are used to produce the operational fit report your hiring team receives. Aggregated, anonymised data helps us improve the scoring models. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to advertising networks.
Where it lives
Data is stored in EU data centres and processed under GDPR. We use a small number of trusted sub-processors (hosting, error reporting, transactional email). A current list is available on request.
How long we keep it
Candidate sandbox results are retained for the duration of the hiring process plus 12 months, unless your employer has agreed to a shorter window. Customer account data is kept while your contract is active. On termination, production data is deleted within 30 days and backups roll off within 90.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold on you, correct anything that is wrong, or request deletion. Email team@valentiq.co and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use a couple of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not run third-party tracking pixels on this site.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we will say so at the top of this page and, where relevant, email account owners.
